FAQs

1What is NFC?
NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It allows smartphones to exchange data simply by tapping or coming close to an NFC product.
2Do I need an app to use NFC products?
No app is required to receive NFC content. Most modern smartphones can read NFC tags automatically. However, some Android users may need to enable NFC in their settings.
3What devices are compatible with NFC?
Most modern iPhones (iPhone 7 onwards) and Android phones (2015 onwards) support NFC. NFC is the technology used for IOS and Android Wallet functions to tap your cards boarding passes and tickets. Older phones may not support NFC but are able to use the unique QR code made for your profile on the back of your digital identity card.
4How does it work?
Simply tap the smartphone on the card, stand or keyring, hear the Ping! and the information has been transferred!
5Does it matter where I tap it?
For the keyrings and stands no, for the business identity cards it is quicker when you tap the side with the QR code onto the phone’s NFC reader. The NFC reader is in a slightly different location on Apple, Samsung and Android phones, please see below to illustrate the best location on each device for quickest readings:
